My parents are getting ready to file their N400 naturalization application online soon. Here is their situation : They got their Green Card ( I sponsored them) in April 2013. They have made four trips to India , two of which were less than 32 days. However one trip in 2013-2014 was for 204 days but this trip is outside of the 5year look-back period now. They took another trip in in August 2014 ,returning in March 2015 for a total of 193 days outside. They had to stay back longer due an unexpected health issue when my mom had to undergo surgery. They have paid filed their tax returns as a resident for every year since getting their GC even-though they do not owe any taxes - they do have some passive income in India. They do live with me and while they have bank account there are not many transactions in it. Also they have medical coverage through ACA where they get premium assistance. Would 5 years of tax returns along with medical documents that show my Mom's diagnosis and surgery followed by physiotherapy be sufficient to overcome the presumption of abandonment of residence in US because they stayed about 13 days more than 180 during their trip in 2014-2015 ?Rajiv and were compiled and reported by our editorial team from comments and blog on immigration.com
I really appreciate Mr. Rajiv, Kalpana, and their team for their work. They handled my case with utmost care and very professionally and did regular follow up with USCIS for the case status. They were always there to answer my questions and clarified them with almost details. I would highly recommend them if you have any immigration issues.
Dear Rajiv and Diane- you are an amazing team. As stressful as this process is- it was very reassuring to know we were in good hands. You guys are so prompt with your reply and the advise is practical and honest. We are very happy to say that you all are honest and hard working and very client focused.
Thank you again
Mr. Khanna, I would like to thank you and your staff for all of your direction, guidance and support throughout my green card journey. It was a bumpy ride with lots of barriers but the outcome was fruitful. I somehow forgot to share my feedback on the bestest services I received from your legal team and I sincerely apologize for that. Your firm really did an amazingly thorough and professional job and Words cannot give any appreciation justice. Thanks much to Bharathi, she was superbly positive, efficient and professional. I could not have wished for a better person to have dealt with it and the service I have received from you has been excellent. You have kept me well informed and up to date with everything. I would always refer your firm if the need ever arises for any legal assistance. Once again my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for you and everyone else worked on my case.
Rajiv S Khanna PC & Case Manager Vijay Durgam has been phenomenal. Detail oriented, patient and relentless. My case has been handled with utmost care. The flawless handling is reflected in the outcome.
Mr Khanna provided great advice regarding my petition as it was complicated. We had to apply for an amendment while current H1B extension was pending. Mr Khanna made all the right arguments and we were able to get an approval. All along the process I've been working with Kalpana and Bharathi on regular basis and had calls scheduled with Mr Khanna when needed. They were very detailed and current in terms of documentation.
I would like to thank them once again and highly recommend "Law Office of Rajiv S. Khanna".
I had my green card filed through my employer and got the opportunity to work directly with Bharathi Gajjala, one of the attorneys/Case manager at the Rajiv S. Khanna law firm and I couldn't have asked for a better person to handle my case. She was always available to take my calls and answer any of the multiple questions I had in great detail, and never failed to return my calls and emails whenever I was not able to reach her. From EB2 case to having a green card in hand was super fast since Bharathi was always on top of my case. Mr. Rajiv was super accommodating with any queries that was routed thru Bharathi. My process went by really fast and I attribute that to the diligent work that Bharathi performed. I won't hesitate to recommend my friends and colleagues to this Rajiv S. Khanna law firm for any of the services they provide. NOW I HAVE A GC IN HAND :) Can't be more happy.
First of all I just want to thank you to Rajiv, Vijay and everyone else in the office that has been with me throughout the journey. They have been very professional, efficient and reliable. Rajiv has been so quick in replying emails to me every time I have any questions and I really appreciate it. Sometimes unexpected situations came up and the way Rajiv addressed and handled such issues made me feel extremely grateful that he was there. His calm spirit and the way he talks just make me feel like there are no existing problems, just situations, which can always be fixed. I remember when I asked my sister why she chose this law firm (she introduced Rajiv’s law firm to me), she said that when she first met with Rajiv, he just gave her this vibe that everything will be alright and that he seemed really kind (and he is), compared to other lawyers that she has met before.
I also would like to thank you Vijay from the bottom of my heart because Vijay has been extremely patient and nice to me. I have been working with Vijay since the beginning of my application and he has always been there for me whenever I need. Even though I bugged him a million times via phones/emails, he is still very patient and kind to me and helps guiding me with all the GC paperwork. So thank you Vijay for your complete support during this journey.

Again, thank you so much to Rajiv, Vijay and everyone who has been handling my case from the start to finish. You guys are the best and I would highly recommend Rajiv and his team without any hesitation in regards to any immigration cases.
I highly recommend Rajiv's law offices for any immigration issues. Rajiv personally looked into my case and handled it meticuliously. I really admire his attention to detail, in depth research, knowledge and prompt responses provided from time to time. My case was one of the few cases where STEM OPT was denied. From the beginning, both Rajiv Sir and Kalpana were very confident that my motion/appeal would be approved. They not only helped me with the case, but also with my appeal to expedite the case. I contacted his office numerous times over a period of 4 months and each time they patiently and promptly responded back. They are very well organized and must say best at thier work. My motion was finally approved and credit goes to Rajiv and Kalpana. I am glad I chose Law offices of Rajiv Khanna.
Rajiv Sir and Diane helped me with my petition for EB1A Green Card. During my interactions with everyone from their firm, I found Rajiv Sir and his team to be extremely professional. They held my hand through the process and were always prompt with providing all information and support. I can't thank them enough for all their guidance. I would highly recommend their services for any immigration related questions and/or support. Thank you very much!! Regards, Aakash Srinivasan
